I have been practicing and, in theory, improving my soldering skills by making bezels for different stones that I've purchased at local bead and jewelry supply shows.
Last night I took inventory of my finished bezel stash and decided it's about time that I actually made some completed pieces with these bezeled stones.
Ohhh, pretty!!! It looks like you have mastered the technique quite well. I wish I could say the same for myself. Of course that would mean I need to pick up a torch and actually use it.
ReplyDeleteI would not claim to have mastered the soldering technique. You might be surprised to know how many trips to the soldering bench some of these bezels required. Picking up the torch and actually lighting it is half the battle. Go for it!!

ReplyDeleteIt's such a challenge to expand your skills when you're busy creating inventory. I try to set aside part of one evening a week to focus on soldering- my personal weakness.
